Travis Browne vs. Andrei Arlovski, Joseph Benavidez vs. John Moraga added to UFC 187
Two more huge fights have been added to the UFC 187 fight card on Memorial Day weekend as Travis Browne meets Andrei Arlovski in a heavyweight bout while Joseph Benavidez faces John Moraga in a flyweight match.
Both fights were announced via UFC Tonight on Wednesday.
Browne returns to action following a first round stoppage win over Brendan Schaub at UFC 181 last December. The Hawaiian got back to his winning ways after losing to Fabricio Werdum in a No. 1 contender's match earlier in the year that cost him a shot at the championship.
Now the fearsome UFC veteran is back in the title hunt with a chance to take out a former champion come May.
Arlovski will look to add a signature win to his record after returning to the UFC in 2014 following several years away from the promotion. The former heavyweight champion beat Schaub in his first fight back before knocking out Antonio 'Bigfoot' Silva to cap off a very successful 2014.
Also added to the card, former flyweight contenders Joseph Benavidez and John Moraga square off with the winner right back at the top of the rankings on the hunt for champion Demetrious Johnson.
Benavidez has been unbeatable at flyweight outside of his title fights against Johnson while Moraga looks to get his third win in a row following victories over Justin Scoggins and Willie Gates.
UFC 187 may end up being the most stacked card of the entire year with two title fights at the top of the card including Jon Jones vs. Anthony Johnson in the main event as well as Chris Weidman vs. Vitor Belfort in the co-main event plus Donald 'Cowboy' Cerrone vs. Khabib Nurmagomedov in a bout that will likely determine the next contender at 155-pounds.
