This is it, the moment that many boxing fans have been waiting for. This is the fight that is going to end all disputes as to who the best boxer in the business. Floyd Mayweather (47-0) takes on Manny Pacquiao (57-5-2) on May 2nd, 2015 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. What some expect to be one of the greatest bouts in the history of boxing, there are some incredible numbers that many people are unaware of surrounding this fight.

300-400 million: The purse for the fight has been estimated at anywhere from 3-400 million with Mayweather and Pacquiao agreeing to a 60-40 split of the purse (60 to Mayweather and 40 to Pacquiao.)

1,500-7,500: These are the face values of the tickets on sale for the fight. It is estimated that these prices will triple/quadruple when the ticket has met the final owner’s hands. Ringside seats for the fight are selling anywhere from 75-100 thousand dollars. Believe me, this will be a historic fight and one that will be talked about for decades.

500: The number of tickets available to the general public. That’s right, out of the thousands of seats available in the MGM Grand Garden Arena, only 500 will be up for purchase. Wish on your lucky star and bring about 30 thousand dollars and you might be lucky to grab two of these seats. UPDATE: These tickets just went on sale and sold out in 60 seconds.

3,000,000: The latest estimate shows that 3,000,000 purchases on pay-per-view will happen. This will shatter the record of 2.4 million set by Oscar Dela Hoya and Mayweather’s fight back in 2007. Showtime and HBO have joined forces and the event will be able for purchase for $89.99 (ten dollars more for high-definition).

755 Million: The combined career earnings of Mayweather and Pacquiao. Also, in their combined pay per view purchases have produced 1.6 BILLION dollars in revenue over their 28 million purchases of their fights.

74: The combined ages of these two fighters. It’s been a long time in waiting for many boxing fans to see this epic showdown.

147: The weight that both fighters weighed in at and will fight at on May 2nd. Reports show that Mayweather consistently is clocked in at 150 pounds year round.

47: The winning streak of Floyd Mayweather coming into this fight. With 28 knockouts over his career, many speculate that if anyone is going to be able to take down “Money”, it will be Manny Pacquiao.

1: Bob Arum, Pacquiao’s promoter, has promised one free ticket to a lucky person and that person is UFC women’s sensation Ronda Rousey. When asked if someone could buy his ringside seat for 100,000 dollars, he laughed and said “make it 200,000 before I even consider doing that”.

6,847: The number of days since Floyd Mayweather last lost in the 1996 Atlanta Summer Olympics to Serafim Todorov of Bulgaria. Pacquaio has a chance to make history and that is knocking off the undisputed champion in boxing.

It was Ali vs. Frazier then Tyson vs. Holyfield and now Pacquiao vs. Mayweather. A fight that many speculate will be one for the Guinness books. Tune in at 9 PM on Saturday, May 2 to find out who will walk away as the winner of this great debate.
