Tarec Saffiedine says he still isn't medically cleared to return to action

Tarec Saffiedine hasn't fought since a TKO loss to Rory MacDonald in October 2014, and after a groin surgery he still isn't medically cleared. UFC Tonight reports that the March surgery has still kept the welterweight out of action but that he hopes to get back into competition either by the end of 2015 or the start of 2016.

Saffiedine has remained tight-lipped as to why, specifically, his recovery is taking so long. He also won't say whether the delay in getting medically cleared is even related to the groin injury at all.

Before the loss to MacDonald, the 170-pound contender had won five straight fights, however, dating back to 2011. Hopefully the Evolve MMA team member can heal completely from whatever is ailing him and be back at 100 percent, whenever he returns.
