'Shogun' Rua vs. Antonio Rogerio Nogueira 2 at UFC 190 in Brazil

A decade after their first fight, Mauricio "Shogun" Rua and Antonio Rogerio Nogueira will do it all over again as the two light heavyweights meet in a featured bout at UFC 190 on August 1 in Brazil.

Rua and Nogueira first met in 2005 as part of the PRIDE Fighting Championships middleweight Grand Prix, and now they'll face off again almost exactly 10 years to the day of the original bout.

Rua topped Nogueira in their first matchup by unanimous decision in a bout that was voted by numerous outlets as the best fight of 2005 and is routinely regarded as one of the best fights of all time.

Rua enters the fight following the roughest stretch of his career, going 1-4 in his past five fights with his last two losses coming by way of TKO.  Some have called for Rua to retire, but at just 33, the legendary Brazilian wants to prove he still has some fight left in him.

Nogueira hasn't suffered the same kind of streak as Rua, but time off and injuries have robbed him of more than two years outside the cage since 2011.  Nogueira will look to bounce back from his most recent fight against Anthony Johnson from July 2014, when he suffered a rapid-fire knockout in the first round.

Shogun vs. Nogueira 2 is the second fight announced for the upcoming UFC 190 card in Rio de Janeira along with the main event pitting women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey against Bethe Correia.
