Scott Jorgensen's team looking into appealing fight that ended after headbutt

The pain from the headbutt has subsided, but the result of it has had a lasting affect on Scott Jorgensen. So much so that Jorgensen's team is looking into appealing the bout, UFC Tonight's Ariel Helwani reports.

Jorgensen was dropped when his head clashed with opponent Jussier Formiga's on Sunday at UFC Fight Night in Natal, Brazil. Seconds later, Formiga had Jorgensen's back and submitted him with a rear naked choke. The headbutt appeared to be inadvertent.

Jorgensen wrote on Twitter afterward that he felt "absolutely robbed" and that he was basically unconscious after the headbutt only to "wake up in a choke."

Mike Roberts, Jorgensen's manager with MMA Inc., told FOX Sports that they're exploring their options and still trying to figure out what the appeal protocol is with the Brazilian MMA Athletic Commission.

"We know it's hard to get things overturned," Roberts said.

Jorgensen (14-9) has now lost two straight since dropping down to 125 pounds and three in a row overall.
