Miesha Tate thinks Holly Holm's chin is 'suspect'

Miesha Tate had no problem talking trash about Ronda Rousey when Rousey was the undefeated champion, so what makes you think she'd treat Holly Holm any differently?

Tate isn't just talking up her strong points in advance of their co-main event matchup Saturday at UFC 196. She's swinging straight at Holm's jaw.

"I think her chin might be a little bit suspect," Tate said on "UFC Tonight" on Wednesday. "I've noticed (that) in some of the videos when a few of her opponents connected."

Tate went on to tackle the tough question: How is she going to beat Holm when Rousey couldn't?

Tate told FOX Sports' Damon Martin that she's "the worst matchup that Holly could ask for." She also thinks Holm's victory over Rousey was more a result of Ronda having a poor game plan.

"I really could care less that Holly demolished Ronda. I think Ronda went out there and if I was going to rate Ronda's striking in that fight with Holly on a scale of 1 to 10, I probably would have given her a 3. Her ability to close distance in terms of setups, I'd probably give it a 3 also. She did not look like the world champion that everyone has seen her be before.

"Maybe that was something else going into the fight or maybe it was just a poor game plan. She looked like she had never seen a southpaw before in her life. I don't know, but Ronda really went out there with a poor game plan and didn't adjust and I think that's her coach's fault. I think Ronda's a tremendous athlete and she could beat Holly, but she looked not good in that fight."

However, let's not forget that Tate failed to back up her boasts in two losses to Rousey, and Holm's coach predicts a similar outcome.

"Second-round KO," Mike Winkeljohn told The MMA Hour.
