Strong is the new skinny.

The former Strikeforce women’s bantamweight champion Miesha “Cupcake” Tate knows how to strike a modeling pose as well as she knows how to apply a chokehold. On the cover of the newest issue of Fitness Gurls magazine is the toned and curvy, No. 1 contender Tate in a string bikini making a generation of people thoroughly jealous of her boyfriend/coach, UFC bantamweight Bryan Caraway.

The 27-year-old with a 13-4 professional record has become quite the celebrity in her own right while chasing after a rematch with her bitter rival UFC women’s bantamweight champ Ronda Rousey. A one time high school women’s state wrestling champion in Washington who began MMA in college after joining an MMA club created by Caraway, “Cupcake” landed a spot early this year in ESPN magazine’s famed Body Issue and is the opposing coach to Rousey on this season’s The Ultimate Fighter, which will conclude with their title fight at UFC 168.

Judging by how she looks in a barely there swimsuit, cupcakes are for nicknames and not for eating in Tate’s diet.
