An injury to Michael Chiesa forced a major shift in the upcoming UFC Fight Night card in South Dakota with a new main event being announced on Tuesday.

Bantamweights Michael McDonald and John Lineker will now fight in the five-round main event slot on July 13 from Sioux Falls airing live on FS1.

McDonald and Lineker were originally scheduled to fight in the co-main event, but they will now move up on spot to the marquee bout on the card.

Chiesa's original opponent Tony Ferguson will now face promotional newcomer Landon Vannata, who accepts the slot on the card on just over two weeks notice.

8-0 as a pro fighter, Vannata trains out of the famed Jackson-Winkeljohn camp in New Mexico where he works alongside notable UFC stars such as Jon Jones, Carlos Condit and Donald "Cowboy" Cerrone.

Ferguson vs. Vannata will be the new co-main event as the UFC makes a first appearance in South Dakota with the Wednesday night card from Sioux Falls.
