UFC veteran Matt Brown has inked a new eight-fight deal with the promotion after reaching terms with the organization on Wednesday.

With 21 fights inside the Octagon, Brown has proven to be one of the most durable and dependable veterans on the entire roster after joining the promotion via "The Ultimate Fighter".

Currently ranked No. 8 in the world at welterweight, Brown has gone 8-3 over his past 11 fights with victories over Stephen "Wonderboy" Thompson and Tim Means on his résumé.

The Ohio native most recently suffered a submission loss to Demian Maia at UFC 198 in Brazil, but it looks like he's anxious to get back in action with his new deal in place.

Brown has been a machine since joining the UFC with 11 finishes in his 13 wins inside the Octagon and he'll look to make the most of his new deal when he next competes in the UFC later this year.
