John Moraga draws Dustin Ortiz at UFC on FOX in Atlanta
Former UFC flyweight contender John Moraga will get back in action at UFC Fight Night in Atlanta when he faces top prospect Dustin Ortiz.
Moraga (13-2) was originally scheduled to be a part of the upcoming UFC on FOX card in Sacramento on Dec 14, but an injury forced him out of his bout against fellow flyweight Darren Uyenoyama.
Luckily for Moraga the injury wasn't serious and he will be able to compete again almost exactly a month later when he returns at UFC Fight Night in Atlanta.
Hoping to take another step forward in the division will be Ortiz (12-2), who just made his UFC debut in November when he defeated Jose Maria Tome by TKO in the third round.
Training under the tutelage of Duke Roufus where he works with other top UFC fighters like lightweight champion Anthony Pettis, Ortiz is considered a rising star at 125 pounds but he will be taking a decided step up in competition facing Moraga.
The fight between Moraga and Ortiz is the latest addition to the UFC Fight Night card in Atlanta headlined by former Strikeforce champion Luke Rockhold as he faces Costa Philippou in the main event.
