FOX Sports 1 UFC Fight Night: Mendes vs. Lamas viewing and schedule guide
Two featherweights hoping to jump back into title contention meet this weekend in the main event of UFC Fight Night from Virginia as Chad Mendes faces Ricardo Lamas in a pivotal matchup of top five 145-pound fighters.
Mendes is looking to bounce back from a recent loss to champion Jose Aldo and while he put on a 'Fight of the Year' performance, he still wasn't able to wrestle away the title so getting a win this weekend is paramount if he wants another shot at the gold.
Lamas was extremely impressive in his last fight where he dispatched Dennis Bermudez with relative ease and now he tries to become only the second fighter in history to add a loss to Mendes' record.
Also in action this weekend is former Ultimate Fighter winner Julianna Pena, who returns for the first time since suffering a catastrophic knee injury that kept her out of action for the past year.
