Floyd Mayweather still trolling to land the fight with Conor McGregor
Floyd Mayweather is still doing everything he can to promote a fight against UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor despite the fact that there's no clear indication the bout will ever actually happen.
The latest attempt to draw attention to the proposed mega fight pitting the retired boxing king against McGregor came via Twitter this past weekend.
Mayweather dropped his version of a fight poster, albeit a very rudimentary design, with no message attached but another sign that he's still trying to land the fight with McGregor.

The roadblocks preventing this fight from actually happening are still numerous and likely insurmountable in the grand scheme of things.
McGregor is under exclusive contract to the UFC and if he were to fight Mayweather or any other boxer, his promoters would have to sign off on the deal.
A boxing match between Mayweather and McGregor would also require the UFC to co-promote the show with the boxer's own promotion, not to mention the pay-per-view split, which would likely lead to even more headaches.
Finally, McGregor isn't a boxer and has never boxed before in his life so chances are he would walk into a match with Mayweather as a massive underdog.
In reality, McGregor will likely fight Nate Diaz next in a rematch of their original fight held in March at UFC 196.
Negotiations have been ongoing for several weeks to get the deal done with UFC officials targeting UFC 202 in August as a date for McGregor and Diaz to finally square off. Diaz has already stated he's asking for more money to make the fight happen, but chances are a deal will eventually be struck and the Mayweather vs. McGregor fight will fade away almost as quickly as it started.
