Dominick Cruz and Urijah Faber have disliked each other since the first day they met
The hatred between UFC bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz and Urijah Faber runs deep. Almost 10 years deep.
The pair of top UFC bantamweights, who are set to square off first the third time since 2007 at UFC 199, joined Colin Cowherd in the video above to discuss their upcoming fight and to really get to the root of their longstanding feud. A feud which apparently has existed since the first time they crossed paths, according to Cruz:
Faber immediately erupted in laughter before Cowherd asked for his side of the story:
Cruz and Faber first put leather to face all the way back in 2007 at WEC 26. Faber won that fight by first-round submission, handing Cruz his first and only career loss. They met again in 2011 in Cruz's first title defense as UFC bantamweight champion, which Cruz won by decision, but injuries put the trilogy on hold until now.
It appears at this point that this feud extends far beyond the Octagon, but maybe they finally can put it to rest after settling the score at UFC 199.
