Daniel Cormier vs. Anthony Johnson 2 set for UFC 206 in Toronto

UFC 206 in Toronto officially has a championship fight on the card.

Daniel Cormier announced during Wednesday night's edition of "UFC Tonight" that he will be facing Anthony "Rumble" Johnson at the event scheduled for Dec. 10 in Toronto, Canada.

This will be a rematch between the two light heavyweight competitors after first meeting at UFC 187 last May for the vacant title after Jon Jones was stripped of the belt following his arrest on hit-and-run charges in New Mexico.

On that night, Cormier survived an early knockdown from his heavy-handed opponent to eventually claim the title with a third-round submission win by rear-naked choke.

Since that time, Cormier defended the belt against Alexander Gustafsson in a five-round war before being matched up with Jones at UFC 200.

Unfortunately, that fight never happened after Jones tested positive for a pair of banned substances, and he was later replaced by Anderson Silva. Cormier won the fight by unanimous decision.

As for Johnson, he will get his second shot at UFC gold after putting together a three-fight win streak since his loss to Cormier last year.

Johnson has finished all three opponents by knockout, including a 13-second drubbing of former title contender Glover Teixeira in his last bout at UFC 202.

Cormier and Johnson will now face off for a second time with the title on the line while Jones remains the interim champion as he sits out on suspension awaiting his hearing with the Nevada State Athletic Commission to decide on any possible punishment stemming from the positive drug test.
