Daniel Cormier reveals which verbal jab hurts Jon Jones the most

Published Jun. 15, 2016 6:17 p.m. ET

UFC light heavyweight rivals Daniel Cormier and Jon Jones have said a lot of mean things to each other over the course of their heated rivalry.

They've both managed to get under one another's skin several times using language neither of their mother's would be proud of, but according to Cormier, the jab that hurts Jones the most isn't one of the four-letter words they've hurled at each other during their near two-year feud.

It's actually when he's called him a "bum" that Cormier says he's gotten the biggest reaction from Jones.

"I call him a bum and he does not like that," Cormier told TMZ. "Because he feels he's the greatest fighter of all time, and for me to call him a bum, it goes against everything he believes. So I'm calling him a bum, again. He is a bum. After that last fight, he doesn't deserve to be called the greatest of all time."

Harsh words from Cormier. If the word irks Jones as much as he UFC 200 challenger says it does, we should expect a response from the interim champ soon.

The pair of top light heavyweights are set to meet in the main event of UFC 200 in July.
