Dana White: Ronda Rousey will fight Cris Cyborg if she beats Amanda Nunes (Video)
Should Ronda Rousey make a successful return to the octagon in December, then a much-anticipated fight with Cris Cyborg should be in the cards
UFC President Dana White went on Fox Sports 1 and The Herd on Wednesday to make what was being billed as a “major announcement.” Of course, in the back of our minds, we knew that it had something to do with the return of Ronda Rousey, and in the end, we were correct. White announced that Rousey will appear on the UFC 207 card where she will take on bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes as she tries to get her title back.
For as exciting as this news was, there were a lot of people out there disappointed. As you’d imagine, while many were indeed hoping for the official announcement of a Rousey return, they were equally hoping that it wouldn’t be for a shot at the title she lost to Holly Holm last year. No, they were hoping that it would lead to the showdown that many of us had wanted to see for quite some time now with Cris Cyborg.
There is a light at the end of the tunnel, however. In addition to announcing the return of Rousey, White also threw in this tidbit that should Rousey make a triumphant return and take her belt back, then Cyborg will be up next.

If Ronda Rousey retires after losing to Amanda Nunes @TheHerd her insecurities robbed the fans the greatest fight of all time

So really, to sum it all up, if you’re of the contingency that wants nothing more than to see Rousey vs. Cyborg, then just start hoping and praying that she is victorious at UFC 207.
