Let the speculation end.

On Saturday night, moments after earning his second UFC title, Conor McGregor met with the press to reveal the big announcement he had been teasing all month.

“I’m going to be a daddy next year,” said McGregor. “We will just have this baby and take a little time and see what way I fell after that. I just want to see what happens with that and see how that makes me feel. I don’t know what will be next. Maybe the three, but I’ve got options.”

The announcement was met with a round of applause McGregor’s pregnant girlfriend Dee Devlin blushed in the back of the room.

“I’m not going to lie. I don’t even know what way to take it. It’s messing with me head because I don’t want to be bringing a child into this. So I’m going to have this baby, take some time and see what way I feel after that.”

McGregor (21-3) made history as claimed his second UFC title after taking out lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez halfway through the second round of their main event fight of UFC 205 in New York.

Throughout the fight, the Irishman seemed to toy with the Philadelphia native, scoring multiple knockouts throughout the opening frame. Whenever Alvarez attempted to close the gap, McGregor continuously connected with a snapping straight left.

Picking up right where he left off in the second round, McGregor even put his hands behind his back in hopes of goading Alvarez into exchanging with him. After more powerful shots, McGregor finished off with a four punch combo Alvarez at the 3:04 mark of Round 2.

This marked McGregor’s 18th career knockout victory, and seventh under the UFC banner, while also earning him his eight post fight bonus.
