Carlos Condit vs. Demian Maia shifted to UFC Vancouver main event
UFC Fight Night in Vancouver finally has a main event, just 39 days out from the Aug. 27 show.
The UFC announced Tuesday afternoon that the welterweight tilt between third-ranked Demian Maia and fifth-ranked Carlos Condit has been moved from the UFC 202 main card to the marquee slot of UFC Fight Night in Vancouver. The fight was originally reported by Neil Davidson of The Canadian Press and later confirmed by the UFC.

The pair of top welterweight were scheduled to go toe-to-toe the week before at UFC 202, but now, the folks of Vancouver will get an even better main event than anticipated.
Condit, a former interim welterweight champion, is coming off an absolute barnburner against Robbie Lawler at UFC 195, which was immediately considered one of the best welterweight fights of all time.
He'll look to earn another shot at the title against Maia, who enters the bout on a five-fight win streak against the likes of Matt Brown, Gunnar Nelson and Neil Magny.
