Serena congratulates Flavia Pennetta on U.S. Open win: 'You deserved it'
Serena Williams sent U.S. Open champ Flavia Pennetta a tweet of congratulations after the Italian's historic win.
"You deserved it," the 21-time Grand Slam champ relayed to the Italian on her first Grand Slam win.
Williams also sent her fellow tennis pro kind words of farewell on Pennetta's retirement: "I am also happy for the rest of you life's journey."
