Andy Murray drawn to play Donald Young in Davis Cup

GLASGOW, Scotland (AP) Andy Murray, playing in his native Scotland for the first time since winning Wimbledon in 2013, will face Donald Young in the opening singles Friday when Britain hosts the Unites States in the first round of the Davis Cup.

John Isner, the highest-ranked U.S. player at No. 20, will play James Ward in the second match at the Emirates Arena in Glasgow.

The draw for Saturday's doubles has the top-ranked American pair of brothers Bob and Mike Bryan facing Murray's brother, Jamie, and Dominic Inglot.

The doubles pairings can be changed later, with the possibility of the Murray brothers teaming up to face the Bryans. That would be only the sixth time that brothers have been on both sides of the net in a Davis Cup doubles match.

''I would say it is unlikely I will play the doubles on Saturday but if it's required then I obviously know Jamie's game well, and Dom's,'' Murray said at Thursday's draw. ''Both of them have started this year very, very well.''

In Sunday's reverse singles, Murray will play Isner, and the 47th-ranked Young will face Ward.

Murray led Britain to a 3-1 win over the U.S. in the first round last year in San Diego.

The U.S. leads 11-8 overall against Britain in the oldest rivalry in Davis Cup history, dating to the first competition in 1900.

The winner in Glasgow will advance to the quarterfinals against either France or Germany.
