US midfielder Ricardo Clark set to join Frankfurt

United States midfielder Ricardo Clark is set to join Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt until the end of the season.

Frankfurt coach Michael Skibbe said Wednesday that Clark is expected to sign a contract on Thursday but still needs ``a few weeks'' to get back in top shape. The former Houston Dynamo midfielder hasn't played regularly since the MLS season ended in November.

The 26-year-old Clark became a free agent after his contract with Houston expired.

Frankfurt is seventh in the Bundesliga with 27 points after 18 matches, 11 points behind leader Bayer Leverkusen.
