US defender Jonathan Spector has joined Birmingham City on a two-year contract.
The 25-year-old Spector was released by West Ham at the end of last season and will join Birmingham on a free transfer.
Birmingham manager Chris Hughton says he is pleased to sign the defender, who has experience at the Premier League and international levels.
Hughton says he ''is versatile and can play in a few positions. I think he will be a big asset for this club.''
The right back, who began his career at Manchester United, has made 31 international appearances.
