The veteran Danish international spent a year as the Potters number two before replacing Begovic in the Premier League starting line-up in mid-November.
In the 10 league games since his return, Sorensen has conceded just nine goals, while Begovic conceded 11 in three games prior to being usurped by the veteran Dane.
However, Sorensen is not taking his starting spot for granted and is well aware that Begovic will be desperate to return to the line-up.
Pulis uses a rotation system with his keepers, using Sorensen for league games and Begovic for cup action, and the 35-year-old admits he has to keep up his form if he is to keep the Bosnian out of the Stoke side.
He told The Sentinel: "I'm old enough to know you take one game at a time and don't look too far forward. For me, it's so far, so good.
"The competition is good for both of us. He (Begovic) will get his fair share of games in the FA Cup and Europa League, and I'm sure both of us can live with that."
He added: "It's been a great 10 games (since his return to the starting line-up), as we've lost two, won five and drawn three.
"Obviously I'm happy with that because it has put us back where we want to be in the league. As for myself, I'm a lot happier playing than watching from the bench."
Sorensen recently signed a contract extension at the Britannia Stadium that keeps him tied down to Stoke until the end of the 2013/2014 campaign.
