Report: Manchester City in talks to sign Swansea striker Bony
Manchester City are in talks with Swansea City over a £30million ($45.5million) move for striker Wilfried Bony, according to several reports.
A deal for the Cote d'Ivoire striker is yet to be agreed but reports suggest the two sides are not far apart on their valuation of the 26-year-old.
Bony is due to travel to the Middle East on Wednesday for a training camp with his country ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations.
He was linked with a summer move to Liverpool and Tottenham, among other sides, but stayed at the Liberty Stadium and has scored nine Premier League goals to add to the 16 he managed last season.
Bony signed a new contract in November, which removed the £19m ($29m) release clause in his initial deal, and City and Chelsea both had him watched in Swansea's recent clash with Liverpool.
City boss Manuel Pellegrini recently played down his interest in Bony because of the club's transfer restrictions under UEFA's financial fair play protocols and the limit on non home-grown players.
