Racing Santander signs Argentine midfielder Acosta

Spanish club Racing Santander has agreed a deal to sign Argentine midfielder Lautaro Acosta on a season-long loan deal from rival Sevilla.

The 23-year-old Acosta joined Sevilla from Argentine club Lanus in 2008 and has played for Argentina's underage teams without yet breaking into the senior side.

Acosta will undergo a medical on Friday. He will be the first signing of the close season for Racing, which was placed in bankruptcy protection earlier this month.

Racing starts its La Liga campaign with a match against Getafe on the opening weekend of fixtures Aug 20-21.
