Preston sign old boys on loan

Pugh, 28, and fellow midfielder Tonge, 27, who both started their careers within Manchester United's youth set-up, have found first-team opportunities few and far between this term. Pugh signed for Preston in June 2006 from Leeds and made 57 appearances for North End before joining Stoke in November 2007, initially on loan, before penning a permanent move in January 2008. Tonge had a spell on loan at Preston from Stoke last season, making seven league appearances for the club between November 2009 and January 2010. They are expected to go straight into Ferguson's team for the away clash with high-flying QPR on Saturday.
