Santos striker Neymar is in hospital after injuring his eye in a
3-2 win over Santo Andre in the first leg of the Sao Paulo state
final.
The Albert Einstein Hospital says the 18-year-old Neymar is
being treated for bleeding in his right eye.
Neymar was injured after a fall in the 29th minute of
Sunday's match, when his own hand struck the eye and he momentarily
lost sight. He was substituted at halftime and taken to the
hospital.
Santos doctor Mauricio Zenaide said on Monday the injury was
not serious and Neymar could leave the hospital soon depending on
new exams.
Neymar will not play against Atletico Mineiro in the
Brazilian Cup on Wednesday but could return for the second leg of
the Sao Paulo final next weekend.
