Napoli agrees deal with Estudiantes for Zapata
Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis has confirmed the Serie A club has reached a deal to sign striker Duvan Zapata from Estudiantes.
In a question and answer session on Twitter on Friday, De Laurentiis writes ''we have completed a deal for Zapata, we have signed with Estudiantes. The player is on his way to Naples where he will undergo medical tests.''
Napoli has paid an estimated 8 million euros ($10.7 million) for the 22-year-old Zapata, who has attracted interest from a number of clubs including West Ham, Queens Park Rangers, Benfica and Lyon.
Zapata is a former Colombia under-20 international.
Napoli has signed a number of players during the offseason, with the likes of Gonzalo Higuain, Pepe Reina, Raul Albiol and Jose Callejon joining last year's Serie A runner-up.
