Motta ready to commit to Italy

Inter Milan's Brazilian-born midfielder Thiago Motta says he is prepared to commit himself to Italy's national team.

Motta holds an Italian passport through his grandfather.

The 28-year-old Motta says "all I'm thinking about is playing well for Inter, but when I'm 100 per cent I will be available for the national team."

Motta twice played for a Brazil under-23 side at the 2003 CONCACAF Gold Cup, but has never represented Brazil's full national team.

Italy coach Cesare Prandelli has already given caps to Brazil-born Amauri and Argentina-born Cristian Ledesma since taking the job in July.
