Milan doesn't expect Beckham return

AC Milan's coach doesn't expect David Beckham to return for a third stint with the Italian club.

Beckham watched Milan tie Arsenal 1-1 in a preseason exhibition game Saturday. The one-time England captain is under contract to the Los Angeles Galaxy, but he has twice gone on loan to Milan to stay in shape during Major League Soccer's offseason.

The 35-year-old Beckham is recovering from a ruptured Achilles' tendon that prevented him from appearing at a fourth World Cup this year.

Coach Massimo Allegri says he doesn't think Beckham will return because of the nature of his injury at this point in his career.

He says: ''At that age I think it is very difficult to come back.''
