Miazga in, Falcao out of Chelsea Champions League squad

Chelsea interim manager Guus Hiddink included United States defender Matt Miazga in his Champions League squad for the upcoming round of 16 tie against Paris Saint-Germain.

Miazga joined Chelsea from New York Red Bulls on Saturday and took up one of the 25 available berths in Hiddink's squad for the remainder of the Champions League campaign. The decision to include the 21-year-old defender reflects the need for additional options in central defense heading into the two-legged affair against PSG.

In addition to naming Miazga in his squad, Hiddink excluded Colombian striker Radamel Falcao from his options. The veteran manager named recent loan signing Alexandre Pato in his squad and retained Loic Remy instead of gambling on the unfit forward. Falcao has not featured in the Chelsea first team since he sustained a thigh injury in November.
