Mandzukic completes mega transfer move from Atletico to Juventus
Juventus have completed the signing of Croatia forward MarioMandzukic from Atletico Madrid in a 19million euros transfer deal.
The 29-year-old striker completed a medical in Turin on Monday before putting pen to paper on a four-year deal with the Italian champions.
A statement from Juventus read: "Juventus announces it has reached an agreement with Atletico madrid for the permanent signing of Maro Mandzukicin a initial 19million euros transfer deal.
"The transfer fee can increase to a maximum of two million euros if certain sporting aims are met during the length of his contract.
"The player has signed a four-year contract with Juventus."
Mandzukic becomes Juve's third summer signing following the arrival of Argentinian forward Paulo Dybala from Palermo and Sami Khedira's move from Real Madrid earlier this month.
"I'm happy to be in a big club like Juventus," Mandzukic said on his club's official website. "I believe the coach (Massimiliano Allegri) knows me well and can get the best out of me.
"I'm ready to do everything necessary for my team-mates.
"I'll give my best and I think the coach knows me well enough for us to understand each other and for him to get the best out of me.
"Juventus have always had exceptional players.
"I've played against them and against Italy many times.
"They're a tough team with great quality.
"That is why I'm really delighted to be a part of this group now."
Mandzukic joined Atletico last summer from Bayern Munich and scored 20 goals in 43 games for the Spanish side.
Juve were keen to strengthen their attacking line with Argentinian forward Carlos Tevez expected to leave the club this summer.
Tevez, Juve's top scorer in the past two seasons, is under contract with the club for another year but is keen to return home to Argentina, with former club Boca Juniors expected to acquire his services.
Juve won the domestic double - Serie A and Coppa Italia - for the first time since 1995 under first-year coach Allegri last season and also reached the Champions League final before losing 3-1 to Barcelona.
