LIVE COVERAGE OF FIFA CLUB WORLD CUP 2009 PRESENTED BY TOYOTA BEGINS DECEMBER 9 ON FOX SOCCER CHANNE

For the fifth consecutive year, Fox Soccer Channel will bring fans live and exclusive English-language coverage of the FIFA Club World Cup 2009 presented by Toyota, taking place in the United Arab Emirates from Wednesday, Dec. 9 through Saturday, Dec. 19.

After a four-year run in Japan, the FIFA Club World Cup moves to the Middle East where the reigning champions of FIFA's six major continental competitions will vie to be crowned the best club team of 2009.

The participating club teams this year include: UEFA Champions League winner FC Barcelona (Spain), Copa Libertadores winner Estudiantes de La Plata (Argentina), AFC Champions League winner Pohang Steelers FC (South Korea), CAF Champions League winner TP Mazambe (Democratic Republic of the Congo), CONCACAF Champions League winner Atlante FC (Mexico), OFC Champions League winner Auckland City FC (New Zealand) and designated "host" team Al Ahli FC (United Arab Emirates).

Fox Soccer Channel's coverage of the FIFA Club World Cup 2009 presented by Toyota commences on Wednesday, Dec. 9 at 11 a.m. ET with the opening playoff match and continues with both quarterfinal matches, both semifinal matches as well as the third and fifth place matches. The tournament concludes with the final, taking place at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Sunday, Dec. 19.
