Kilmarnock tightened its grip on fourth place in the Scottish Premier League with a 2-0 victory over St. Mirren on Monday.

Second-half goals from Liam Kelly and Craig Bryson secured a seventh win in 10 games that moves Kilmarnock three points ahead of Inverness with a game in hand. Third-place Hearts are nine points ahead of Kilmarnock.

The match did not come to life until the second half when Kelly tapped in from close range in the 64th minute after being set up by Jamie Hamill.

Bryson, the Kilmarnock captain, sealed the win in the 79th with a deflected shot from the edge of the penalty area.
