Kei Kamara got rich, but he still has to do his chores

Kei Kamara just scored a lucrative new Designated Player contract with Columbus Crew SC, but he’s still a man of the people.

Despite scoring a multiyear deal reportedly worth more than $1 million, Kamara isn’t above doing household chores. Never one to shy from the social media spotlight, Kamara was recorded doing a little spring cleaning on Thursday, courtesy of his wife, Kristin.

Kamara exploded for Crew SC last season, racking up 22 regular-season goals en route to an MLS Cup appearance (which they lost). Nevertheless, Mrs. Kamara makes it clear in her post on Twitter: “Designated player status doesn't mean squat in our house. He's still got chores to do.”

OK, so we understand staying levelheaded and not blowing through your windfall right away … but can’t the guy shell out for a mop?
