Spain midfielder Andres Iniesta will start in the team's opening World Cup match against Switzerland.

The Spanish federation says Iniesta will play after recovering from a right leg injury.

Cesc Fabregas and Fernando Torres - both returning from leg injuries - were on the bench for the Group H game at Moses Mabhida Stadium.

Striker David Villa will start in front of a five-man midfield of Iniesta, Xavi Hernandez, Xabi Alonso, David Silva and Sergio Busquets, with the latter two making their World Cup debuts in South Africa.

Captain Iker Casillas will be in goal with Carles Puyol and Gerard Pique in central defense and Joan Capdevila and Sergio Ramos as fullbacks.
