Norwich, who drew their first two games against Wigan and Stoke, suffered their first defeat back in the top flight at Chelsea on Saturday. Holt had drawn the Canaries level at 1-1 but John Ruddy's sending-off and the subsequent penalty scored by Frank Lampard turned the game in Chelsea's favour. Holt, though, believes there were plenty of positives. "We've got the international break to have a look at things, review things, and keep the positive," he told City's official website. "That's football, you get punished and if you don't take your chances you won't win. We'll learn from that." Holt also expressed his delight to have got off the mark for the season. He added: "People keep talking about how I haven't scored here, or done that, now that's out of the way. "It would have been a lot sweeter if we had gone home with a point."
