Hoffenheim signs Zimbabwe forward Musona

Zimbabwe forward Knowledge Musona is joining Hoffenheim on a five-year contract, the Bundesliga club said Thursday.

The 21-year-old striker arrives from the Kaiser Chiefs. He scored 15 goals for the South African side last season.

At the same time, Hoffenheim said striker Vedad Ibisevic suffered a thigh injury in training that will keep him sidelined until further notice.

More tests are needed to determine the severity of the injury.

The Bundesliga club said it will give Musona time to develop.

Although Musona is only 21, ''he has shown that he can score for club and country and we want to build up on this potential,'' coach Holger Stanislawski said.
