Everton captain Phil Neville has signed a new two-year contract, committing him to the Premier League club until he is 36.

The former Manchester United player says he wants to play beyond the end of his new contract and that ''this club has never let me down.''

A former England international, Neville has never won a trophy in his six years with Everton but did help it reach the 2009 FA Cup final.
