Out-of-favour Bordeaux striker David Bellion has rejoined Nice on a loan deal until the end of the season.

Bellion, 28, who was an integral part of Bordeaux's title-winning side in 2009, has been allowed to move on after slipping down the pecking order under Jean Tigana.

The former Manchester United forward has made just two appearances in the 2010/11 campaign, with both of those coming off the bench.

His contract with Bordeaux is due to run until 2014, but he has been forced to start looking elsewhere for regular first-team action.

Nice are happy to offer him that opportunity as they are fully aware of what he is capable of.

Bellion scored 12 goals in 45 appearances for the club between 2006 and 2007 and earned a move to Bordeaux on the back of a number of impressive displays.

Nice hope he can hit the ground running this time around, with just five points separating them from the Ligue 1 relegation zone at present.

In order to accommodate Bellion's arrival, they have allowed Benin international Mickael Pote to join Second Division outfit Le Mans on loan.
