Bayern unlikely to make signings
Bayern Munich director of sport Matthias Sammer has declared that new faces are unlikely to arrive in the January transfer window.
Bayern have made a strong start to the season under Pep Guardiola and are currently four points clear at the top of the Bundesliga after going through their opening 12 games unbeaten.
They have also secured a place in the last 16 of the UEFA Champions League, and do not plan to bring in any reinforcements this winter.
Sammer told kicker-Sportmagazin: "We actually do not think about changes in the first-team squad during the winter transfer phase.
"Of course, if any significant injuries do appear, I would be unable to fully rule out a change of thinking in this respect."
Defender Holger Badstuber, who is recovering from a second cruciate knee ligament injury, is Bayern's only long-term absentee at the current time.
