Zamboni drunk driver sentenced to nine days in jail

If you drive while intoxicated, you will be punished. This includes Zambonis as well as cars.
Steven James Anderson, of Fargo, N.D., found this out Tuesday when he was sentenced to nine days in jail for driving a Zamboni at a girls' high school hockey game in January while drunk.
According to an AP report, witnesses complained Anderson was driving erratically on the ice between periods and crashing into the boards. Police say his blood-alcohol content was nearly four times the legal limit for driving a motor vehicle.
In addition to the jail sentence, Anderson, 27, was hit with a $1,500 fine, chemical dependency evaluation and participation in the North Dakota's 24/7 sobriety program.
Anderson's lawyer tried to argue that a Zamboni wasn't a vehicle, but the judge was having none of it.
