The Minnesota Wild reduced their training camp roster to 38 players Friday, assigning former Notre Dame forward Mario Lucia to the AHL.

The Wild released forward Colton Beck from his tryout contract, while placing forward Marc Hagel and defenseman Zach Palmquist on waivers.

Lucia is the son of Minnesota Gophers head coach Don Lucia, and spent four years with the Irish before being making his professional debut with the AHL's Iowa Wild last season.
