Watch Sudeikis & Rudd try to get a hit off Royals pitcher Guthrie

We've got some footage from the recent baseball-themed Big Slick Celebrity Weekend in Kansas City that may help gain some appreciation for the plight of major-league baseball hitters.

The annual charity event was headlined by the likes of Paul Rudd, Jason Sudeikis, David Koechner and Rob Riggle, who also gamely stepped into the cage to try to hit offerings from Royals right hander Jeremy Guthrie. Guthrie doesn't pack Aroldis Chapman heat or even throw full speed (it seems), but it still proved a harrowing experience for former "Saturday Night Live" player Sudeikis ("Eastbound and Down"), who exclaimed, "I can't even swing at it. It's frightening."

Big Slick Celebrity Weekend benefits Children's Mercy Hospitals and Clinics in Kansas City (check out its ongoing fundraiser online). Koechner ("Anchorman") took a few cuts as well and it went like this:
