
UCF's Deshorn Brown picked 6th in MLS draft

University of Central Florida soccer player Deshorn Brown, a forward who spent one year in Orlando, was selected sixth overall by the Colorado Rapids during the MLS SuperDraft on Thursday.
Brown, who was born in Manchester, Jamaica, spent two seasons with the University of Mobile before scoring 13 goals in 16 games with UCF in 2012.
Being taken with the sixth pick, Brown is the highest selection for a player from UCF, which has had five players drafted overall in the past five years.
