Thursday's Panthers-Lightning preseason game postponed

FLORIDA PANTHERS PRESS RELEASE

SUNRISE, Fla. -- After consulting with the City of Sunrise, Broward County and various governmental officials and agencies, the Florida Panthers announced that their preseason game on Thursday, Oct. 6, against the Tampa Bay Lightning at the BB&T Center has been postponed due to the expected landfall of Hurricane Matthew.

"While we are disappointed to announce the postponement of any event at the BB&T Center, the safety of our fans, staff and the people of South Florida is always our top priority," said Executive Chairman Peter Luukko.

All ticket holders will be notified as details are confirmed.

The BB&T Center Box Office will close at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 5 and is scheduled to re-open on Monday, Oct. 10.

The Florida Panthers open the regular season at the BB&T Center on Oct. 13 against the New Jersey Devils. Full and partial ticket packages are now available that include flexible payment plans.
