Three Takeaways from Blue Jackets Win over Tampa Bay

One: Second periods this season have been one's where the expectations have been low. Less hitting, less skating, less shooting and less jump. Not so versus Tampa Bay. Columbus came out and had a very solid team effort to put 13 shots on Lightning goalie Ben Bishop in the 2nd. The 1st periods of their last two games combined? A total of 6.
Two: The return to the lineup of Brandon Dubinsky cannot be understated. He wears his heart on his sleeve and is a loud voice for the team, both on and off the ice. Although he didn't get on the score sheet, he had 17:24 TOI over 23 shifts. He provided energy and a spark that has been missed by the club.
Three: They had an aggressive forecheck going that was causing the Lightning to turn the puck over quite a bit. The forecheck is at the core of "Blue Jackets" hockey and they used it to full-effect against Tampa Bay. A turnover helped to create what was ultimately Nick Foligno's highlight-reel, game-winning goal.
