The debut podcast of Josh Barnett Conquers the World has arrived

Published Jun. 24, 2014 12:00 p.m. ET

The debut episode of Josh Barnett Conquers the World has arrived and like a storming Dothraki horde crashing over the grasslands, the former UFC heavyweight champion is pillaging the podcast world with his new show.

This is Josh's world and we're just living in it and to kick things off on the first ever episode of the show, the master of catch wrestling will discuss what's new with his career including a new grappling match just recently announced against multi-time Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu champion Dean Lister.

Barnett will also give his take on the World Cup -- just imagine Vikings kicking around a ball while slinging battle axes around and that's pretty much his idea of heaven.

UFC women's bantamweight fighter Shayna Baszler joins the podcast as Barnett's first ever guest as the two long time training partners discuss her upcoming fight with Bethe Correira and the origins of the infamous 'Four Horsewomen' name she shares along with fellow fighters Ronda Rousey, Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir.

As it turns out, Baszler believes the group fits another iconic pro wrestling faction better than the 'Four Horsemen' but now they are forever stuck with the label.

"I think The Cliq -- for people that follow pro wrestling -- it was Shawn Michaels, Razor Ramon, Diesel (Kevin Nash) and Triple H," Baszler said.  "They're a better representation of us, I think."

You can also hear how the group really does share a house together and the reality of four women living alone who need to protect themselves -- yes, you guessed it they have a machete.

All this and so much more -- Josh Barnett Conquers the World is just the kind of brutal, unadulterated podcast you've been looking for and now it's arrived.
