Report: Texans LB Brian Cushing out Sunday vs. Titans

Published Oct. 23, 2014 4:44 p.m. ET

Houston Texans linebacker Brian Cushing hasn't been 100 percent this season, and that was evident Monday night against the Steelers.

According to a report by NFL.com, problems with Cushing's knee will force him to miss the Texans' game against the Titans on Sunday, and he could be out longer. Citing a league source, Cushing had the knee drained several times the last few weeks.

Cushing's previous two seasons have been cut short due to multiple injuries in the same knee. Last year, he suffered a broken fibula and torn LCL, and a torn ACL in 2012.
