Because everyone likes a celebrity trying to drive a stock car, here’s T.I. — hip-hop star and author of the novel “Power & Beauty: A Love Story of Life on the Streets” — taking a spin around Atlanta Motor Speedway via the Richard Petty Driving Experience. The highlight tape features several great moments, including this classic exchange:
“Track employee: ‘Have you ever done anything like this before?’
T.I.: ‘Legally?’”
If you’re worried about his safety or the safety of others, T.I. explains that he’s been trained by professionals thanks to the 7.5-minute instructional video he was shown before the drive.
After doing a few laps around at 150 miles per hour, T.I. seems to be gaining confidence, saying he thinks the more he drives the track, the more comfortable he’ll be. His instructors waste no time shooting down his bravado.
